We remember the excitement, anticipation, and trepidation of our 1st tour on a bicycle! We also remember the exhilaration and sense of accomplishment for completing it! We want to share that experience with other women and help take the jitters away.
Our focus is to lead women on self-supported bike tours and to create confident touring cyclists. We do this by sharing our cycling knowledge, experience, and love of bike touring.

Touring with Peony was a blast! I was hesitant about riding with new people but I ending up making great biking friends! The group was supportive and encouraging and managed to make the 45 mile trip uphill in the rain fun and rewarding. Definitely will book again. Thanks Peony!

Recently did a tour of the Ghost Town trail with PWBT. Loved every minute of it. Okay, maybe not the uphill climb to Ebensburg but everything else was great. Peg and Elise were very helpful and knowledgeable. The other women on the ride were super supportive and accepting. Will defiantly do another ride!

I completed the 4 day Buffalo bike tour with Peony Women's Bike Tours. The owners Peg Schmidt and Elise Yun did an excellent job planning everything. Accommodations were perfect, suggestions for meals were spot on and their leading the tour was perfect. Peg and Elise accommodated for everyone’s strengths and weaknesses so that all participants enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend their tours to anyone. Their main goals are to empower women and make us all realize we are able to do a tour at any age!

I highly recommend touring with Peg and Elise. They keep a great atmosphere on and off the bike. They provide you tips and tricks of how to conquer your first (or second, or third) bike tour and make sure everyone is comfortable. I am seventy-five years old , riding a 25 year old Schwinn hybrid bike. If you are looking for an easy to moderate tour, this Buffalo tour is great. Excellent leaders, beautiful views and good company.

I joined the Peony Women’s Bike Tour group on the Ghostown Trail ride in August. I can’t recommend this fantastic group enough! I had never biked with a tour group, biked 32 miles in a day, let alone two days in row! I’d never used panniers or done an overnight trip… These were a lot of firsts for me, and Peg and Elise are such fantastic group leaders! Though this was all new to me, I felt prepared enough to take on the challenge! It was amazing to feel so supported and encouraged by all the women in the group. I learned so much and will 100% sign up for another! I feel so accomplished and proud of myself.

Peg and Elise were excellent tour leaders. I did the ride with them to West Newton and back last year. At that time, it was to be the longest bike ride I would do and my first bike camping experience. With their guidance and support, I knew that I could complete the ride and have fun along the way. They looked out for the entire group and one would stay back if someone was having bike trouble or needed support. They are a great team and I can't wait to go on another ride with them soon!

I recently went on the Intro to Touring ride with Peony Women's Bike Tours. It was so much fun! I was so worried I wouldn't be able to handle the distance, but they made it so easy! The other people on the tour were a lot of fun, too. Never a boring moment! The Airbnb we stayed in overnight was amazing as well. I highly recommend Peony.

Peg and Elise are incredibly knowledgable and experienced as overnight riders and group leaders. I’ve gained so much confidence and experience from the rides I’ve been on with Peony Women’s Bike Tours. The group company is supportive, open, and friendly.
