This Ride is going to ROCK!

Join us for an unforgettable cycling adventure on one of Ohio’s most iconic trails!

Ride a scenic section of the Ohio to Erie Trail from Barberton to Cleveland and back, combining nature, history, and vibrant city exploration into one incredible weekend.

The Ohio to Erie Trail is a premier multi-use path stretching 326 miles across the state—from the Ohio River in Cincinnati all the way to the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland. Along the way, it weaves through regional parks, protected natural areas, charming towns, and peaceful woodlands.

Our journey begins on Friday, June 19 in Barberton, OH, where we’ll head north on the Ohio to Erie Trail for an approximately 50-mile ride to Cleveland. Highlights include breathtaking views through Cuyahoga Valley National Park, stretches of the Cleveland Metroparks, and a ride through several distinct Cleveland neighborhoods as we approach the city.

On Saturday, June 20, we will spend the day discovering Cleveland by bike! We’ll enjoy a guided tour focused on the city’s history, architecture, and neighborhoods, along with a visit to the iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. You may also have time to relax at the beach, browse the West Side Market or shop in Tremont, or explore Cleveland’s bike-friendly streets at your own pace.

Sunday June 21, we’ll cruise along Cleveland’s beautiful West Side. Leaving from our downtown hotel, we’ll ride west toward Huntington Beach in Bay Village—a charming lakeside community known for its parks, nature center, sandy beach, (bring a suit if you'd like to take a dip) and small-town feel. This 28–30 mile round-trip ride features a mix of paved trails and quiet roads, with most on-road sections offering bike lanes or shared bike-friendly routes.  In case of inclement weather, Cleveland's many shops and museums will be available to choose from.

Monday, June 22, we’ll wrap up the tour with a relaxing 50-mile ride back to Barberton via the Ohio to Erie Trail, soaking in the scenery one last time before the journey ends.

Whether you’re drawn by the trail, the city, the lakefront, or the camaraderie of a group ride, this tour offers the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and classic Midwest scenery.

Day 1 – June 19 - Barberton to Cleveland

Approximately 50 miles | Dinner included | Lunch on your own

Our adventure begins in Barberton, Ohio. We’ll meet at 9:30 AM in the public Purple Lot at the corner of 3rd Street NW and Tuscarawas Avenue (across from McDonald’s). The lot offers free 24/7 parking; we recommend parking toward the edge of the lot rather than the center.

From there, we’ll roll onto the Ohio to Erie Trail and begin our scenic ride north toward Cleveland. After about 24 miles, we’ll stop in the charming village of Peninsula, OH for lunch, where you’ll find several great dining options.

Following lunch, we’ll continue approximately 26 miles to downtown Cleveland, riding through a beautiful stretch of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the Cleveland Metroparks, and a handful of welcoming Cleveland neighborhoods. This section of the trail begins as packed limestone through Lock 39 (Valley View) before transitioning to smooth pavement as we approach the city.

We’ll arrive at Canal Basin Park in downtown Cleveland, then enjoy a short ride to Voinovich Bicentennial Park, where sweeping views of Lake Erie and the city skyline provide perfect photo opportunities. From there, it’s an easy ride to our hotel. Dinner is included this evening—sit back, relax, and celebrate a great first day on the trail.

Day 2 – June 20 - Explore Cleveland

Approximately 15 miles | Breakfast & Lunch included | Dinner on your own

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll meet up with our biking partner Bob’s Bike Tours for a guided Cleveland city ride. This relaxed, informative tour highlights the city’s history, architecture, and diverse neighborhoods, with stops at iconic locations such as Public Square, Tower City, Cleveland Browns Stadium, West Side Market, Tremont, Ohio City, and of course, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Following the bike tour, we’ll enjoy lunch together before heading into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. With multiple floors of exhibits, music history, and memorabilia, you can easily spend hours exploring at your own pace.

The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy Cleveland however you like. Many attractions are easily bikeable from the hotel, including Edgewater Beach, the Cleveland Aquarium, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, the Natural History Museum, and even the famous Christmas Story House. You’ll also find excellent shopping, dining, and nightlife on East 4th Street, in Tremont, and in Ohio City.

Dinner is on your own, but we’ll suggest a group option for anyone who wants to dine together. Afterward, you are welcome to head over to Jolene’s Honky Tonk for drinks, music, and a fun Cleveland night out.

Day 3 – June 21 - Cleveland West Side Scenic Ride

Approximately 28–30 miles round trip | Breakfast & Dinner included | Lunch on your own

After breakfast, we’ll set out on a leisurely ride along Cleveland’s beautiful West Side. Departing from our downtown hotel, we’ll head west toward Huntington Beach in Bay Village—a charming lakeside community known for its scenic parks, nature center, sandy shoreline, and welcoming small-town feel.

Our route winds through the Cleveland Metroparks and several West Side neighborhoods, offering a perfect blend of nature, lake views, and local flavor. Once in Bay Village, you’ll have time to swim or explore the beach or we can visit the nature center before heading for a relaxed lunch in town.

This 28–30 mile round-trip ride features a comfortable mix of paved trails and quiet roads, with most on-road sections using bike lanes or shared, bike-friendly streets—making for a scenic, stress-free day in the saddle. Dinner is included back in Cleveland.

Day 4 – June 22 - Return to Barberton, OH

Approximately 50 miles | Breakfast included | Lunch & Dinner on your own

After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to Cleveland and begin our return ride to Barberton via the Ohio to Erie Trail. We’ll stop once again in Peninsula, OH for lunch before completing the final miles back to Barberton.
